Terms and Conditions

By accessing the Neptune's Lodge and Beach Bar website, making a reservation, or using any of our accommodation, facilities or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

1.Reservations and Bookings

All reservations are subject to availability and are only confirmed once the required deposit or full payment has been received, as specified at the time of booking.

Neptune's Lodge and Beach Bar reserves the right to decline or refuse any reservation at its discretion.

By making a reservation, the person making the booking confirms that they are authorised to do so on behalf of all guests included in the reservation and accepts these Terms and Conditions on their behalf.

2. Payment

A deposit may be required to secure a reservation. The outstanding balance must be paid prior to arrival or upon arrival, depending on the payment terms communicated at the time of booking.

Payment methods accepted by Neptune's Lodge and Beach Bar will be communicated at the time of booking. All rates will be quoted in the applicable currency and are subject to change without prior notice until a booking has been confirmed.

Additional charges may apply for services, activities, meals, beverages or other items not specifically included in the confirmed booking.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to the Neptune's Lodge and Beach Bar reservations team. The following cancellation terms apply unless otherwise agreed in writing:

Cancellations made more than 30 days before the scheduled arrival date: The deposit will be refunded, less any applicable administrative or transaction fees.
Cancellations made 15–30 days before the scheduled arrival date: 50% of the deposit will be forfeited.
Cancellations made fewer than 14 days before the scheduled arrival date: The full deposit will be forfeited.
No-shows: The full booking amount may be charged.

Different cancellation terms may apply to special offers, group bookings, peak-season bookings or bookings made through third-party booking platforms. The cancellation terms applicable to your confirmed reservation will take precedence.

Neptune's Lodge and Beach Bar reserves the right to cancel or amend a reservation in exceptional circumstances, including but not limited to force majeure, severe weather conditions, safety concerns, government restrictions or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Where possible, guests will be offered alternative dates or a refund in accordance with the applicable booking terms.

4. Check-In and Check-Out

Standard check-in and check-out times will be communicated at the time of booking.

Early check-in and late check-out may be available upon request but are subject to availability and may incur an additional charge.

Guests are requested to inform Neptune's Lodge and Beach Bar in advance if they expect to arrive outside the agreed check-in times.

Where access to the lodge requires transport or transfer arrangements, guests are responsible for ensuring that they are aware of the applicable transfer schedules and arrival requirements.

5. Guest Conduct

Guests are expected to behave respectfully towards Neptune's Lodge and Beach Bar staff, other guests, local communities and the surrounding natural environment.

As a coastal property, we ask all guests to treat the beach, ocean, marine life and surrounding environment with care and respect. Guests must comply with all reasonable instructions relating to safety, environmental protection and the use of the property's facilities.

Neptune's Lodge and Beach Bar reserves the right to ask any guest to leave the property, without refund, where their behaviour is disruptive, abusive, unlawful, dangerous or causes damage, disturbance or discomfort to staff, other guests or the surrounding environment.

6. Children and Age Restrictions

Children are welcome at Neptune's Lodge and Beach Bar , subject to the specific terms and conditions applicable to the accommodation booked.

Certain accommodation units, facilities, activities or excursions may have age restrictions. Guests are responsible for confirming any applicable age requirements at the time of booking.

Parents and guardians remain responsible for the supervision and safety of children at all times.

7. Activities, Excursions and Transfers

Neptune's Lodge and Beach Bar may offer or arrange access to activities, excursions, transfers and other services either directly or through independent third-party operators.

Participation in activities, excursions and water-based activities may involve inherent risks. Guests participate in such activities at their own risk and are responsible for following all safety instructions and requirements.

Where an activity or service is provided by an independent third-party operator, the terms and conditions of that operator may also apply.

Guests are strongly advised to obtain suitable travel and medical insurance before travelling to Mozambique and participating in any activities or excursions.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Neptune's Lodge and Beach Bar , its owners, employees, agents and representatives shall not be liable for any loss, theft, injury, death, damage or expense suffered by a guest or any member of their party, except where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

This includes, but is not limited to, loss or damage to personal belongings, accidents, injuries, illness, water-related incidents, activities, excursions, transfers, delays, adverse weather conditions, interruptions to services or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Guests are responsible for taking reasonable care of their personal belongings and are strongly advised to obtain appropriate travel insurance before arrival.

9. Damages and Losses

Guests may be held responsible for any loss or damage caused to the property, accommodation, furniture, equipment or other belongings of Neptune's Lodge and Beach Bar as a result of their actions, negligence or failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions.

The cost of repair, cleaning, replacement or other associated expenses may be charged to the responsible guest.

10. Website Use and Information

The content on the Neptune's Lodge and Beach Bar website is provided for general informational purposes.

While we make reasonable efforts to ensure that the information published on the website is accurate and up to date, we do not guarantee that all information, descriptions, rates, availability, images or other content is complete, current or free from errors.

Accommodation, facilities, services, activities, rates and availability may change without prior notice.

Neptune's Lodge and Beach Bar reserves the right to update, amend, suspend or remove any content or part of the website at any time without notice.

11. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, all content appearing on this website, including but not limited to text, photographs, images, logos, graphics, designs and other materials, is owned by or licensed to Neptune's Lodge and Beach Bar .

No content may be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, published or used for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.

12. Force Majeure

Neptune's Lodge and Beach Bar shall not be liable for any failure, delay or interruption in providing accommodation, services or facilities where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Such circumstances may include, but are not limited to, severe weather, natural disasters, fire, floods, disease outbreaks, government restrictions, political unrest, civil disturbance, transport interruptions, power or infrastructure failures, or other unforeseen events.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Mozambique.

Where applicable, and to the extent permitted by law, the laws of the Republic of South Africa may apply to specific transactions or payment arrangements.

Any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions or from a booking with Neptune's Lodge and Beach Bar shall be dealt with in accordance with the applicable laws and jurisdiction.
